Understanding the Wrongs can help each of us to rapidly and accurately recognize, reject, reprimand and replace the values and beliefs that are causing so many American people so much pain...
- Allowing the Few - the rich and powerful to prosper at the expense of the Many who are the heart beat and life blood of our nation.
- Placing personal and political aims and gains ahead of democratic principles, ideals and law.
- Using political power to promote and enrich friends and to ruin and punish enemies.
- Promoting personal and political loyalties within the government while systematically denigrating and destroying competence and expertise.
- Playing "People Like Me Politics" - fostering beliefs that people just like me - soccer moms and Joe six pack dads - are best able and most qualified to lead and govern this nation.
- Using fear, ignorance, untruths and deceit to manipulate and influence the thoughts, feelings and attitudes of large groups of unsophisticated, unsuspecting Americans.
- Disparaging intellectual achievement and inquisitiveness and extolling ignorance and social stupor.
- Rewarding and enriching greed, dishonesty and deceit.
Fortunately, the majority of this country saw through the manipulative political ploys and rejected the dishonesty. Now it's our chore to rebuild and restore all the damage that's been done.
At the same time, let's extend our help, understanding and insights to those who have been manipulated, mislead and misinformed.
Poor values and ideals pushed us to the brink of disaster. Truth, honesty, compassion, integrity, care and the best values will bring us back.
